Lazy days.

Lazy days call for:

1) A side bun with a bow. It's the easiest hair style. I didn't feel like drying my hair today. So I just twisted my hair up into a bun and stuck some bobby pins in it, and it's a done deal.

2) Picking the first thing you see in your closet to wear. And of course, the first thing I see is polka dots! I have wayyy too many polka dots in my closet. Totally not complaining though.

Top: T.J.Maxx (I am a major Maxxinista)
Cardigan: Target
Shorts: Cotton On
Tights: Target
Boots: Dirty Laundry

3) Wearing the comfiest boots, because comfort comes first on lazy days.

Although I was feeling quite lazy today, I got much done. Who says lazy days can't be productive, right? Do you guys have any lazy day rituals?

The North Pole moved into my house today.

The tree is up. The little Christmas city moved from the garage into the living room. There are lights and garland all over the house. I can hear Mariah in the background hittin' those high notes. It's definitely Christmas!

Happy holidays, Lovelies!

Today I am an ornament

I've been so excited about Christmas that today I unconsciously dressed like an ornament. This is what happens when you are listening to Christmas jams while you're getting ready! It happens to me every year. My love for Christmas just exudes from within me!

Top: Marshall's
Skirt: Thrifted
Tights: Target
Shoes: Forever 21
Today was also my mom's birthday! Happy birthday to the best mama on Earth! She's not just my mom. She is my best friend, mentor, and inspiration. I am so blessed to have her in my life. Some of the most special moments in my life are with her. Her optimism and support have inspired me reach many of the goals I have accomplished. I am so blessed to have her in my life! I love you mamasita!

The consequences of Thanksgiving

Today was a day of eating leftovers and hunting for good deals. I did the first one. I don't think I have the patience for long lines the length of the Great Wall of China. I don't enjoy getting trampled for an Xbox either. So I just waited until everyone that was shopping at 3 a.m. went to sleep. Then I went on a journey for Christmas decorations! Woo hoo! Christmas is here! It is definitely the most wonderful time of the year! I will probably have Pandora on the She & Him holiday station until January.

Well comfort foods lead to comfortable dresses. I sure did overeat! I needed some room for that pumpkin pie I devoured. So I wore one of the most comfortable dresses in my closet.

Dress: Forever 21
Cardigan: J.Crew
Shoes: American Eagle
Tights: Forever 21

Recently, I have been addicted to shopping on Instagram shops! I am also addicted to selling things too. I just love hearing back from happy people who love the things they receive. I also love great mail days! It feels like Christmas every time I get something I've been anticipating in the mail. I got the bike necklace from a shop called @shophon on IG. Also that adorable phone case, is from @shopourcitylights. Both shops are wonderful, and I recommend them! If you decide to shop on IG one day, visit me too! my shop is @shoplittleredbowtique!

Well I hope you all have a great weekend!

Thanksgiving style.

My tummy and my heart are very happy from yesterday's festivities. I had a great time with my family. As always, the food was amazing! My mom outdid herself once again! I will always be in love with her stuffing. It's always great to be able to get together with the family and just make memories. I am so thankful for everyone in my life. There is definitely no place like home for the holidays.

If Thanksgiving were a color I'm sure it would be orange. I just couldn't stay away from orange while getting dressed yesterday. I had a few choices on what I wanted to wear, and they were all orange, brown, or yellow. Since I couldn't make up mind on what color I wanted to wear, I decided to wear them all!

Dress: H&M
Tights: Target
Shoes: Franco Sarto
Headband: Claire's

When I was done getting dressed, I reminded myself of the Thanksgiving plays we all used to be in while in elementary school. I was always an Indian. Hence, the outfit! All I needed was some feathers!

Well I hope all of you are enjoying some leftovers! I don't know how I'll be able to fit another slice of pumpkin pie in my tummy, but I'm sure I'll find a way!

Put a bird on it.

Today I put a bird on my dress, but tomorrow I will put a bird on my plate!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I hope you all have a lovely day with your families tomorrow! Enjoy! <3

A Smooth Sea Never Made a Skilled Sailor.

Here I go again with my sailor theme, but I just can't get enough. Well, today I'm actually going for a more inspirational post. With all of my sailor talk, I've had this quote in my head:

"A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor."

We are all sailors in this sea called life. But today I am feeling really thankful for the rough seas. If it weren't for the rough times in life we wouldn't be strong, we wouldn't know who our true friends are, and we wouldn't learn a thing. There's really something beautiful in midst of the storms that we go through in our lives. It even causes us to be more appreciative of the peaceful moments we get in life.

I can't say I've went through the roughest seas, but I am so thankful for all of the skills I've acquired from the seas I've sailed. I have some great people in my life. People who have helped me keep the ship alive and that have encouraged me not to give up. Some days I just want to give up and drown, but that is most definitely NOT the solution. And now that I've stuck around for the journey, I get to see the most beautiful calm that comes after the storm. It consists of happy hearts, smiles, opportunities, accomplishments, and many memories.

God is so good.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." -Joshua 1:9

God is with you in every moment of your journey. He equips you with the right attitude, people, and tools. Be thankful and hopeful in every moment of your journey. Everything will turn out fine.

Sail away.

I've always been a big fan of nautical/sailor style clothing. If it has an anchor on it, I want it!

Well on my birthday my amazing husband got me the cutest sailor dress. It's got a little sailor flap in the back...and a peter pan collar! He knows me so well! My husband is always my shopping buddy. He knows my taste, and amazingly he doesn't really dread following me around our three story Forever 21 store. Even I get a little weary when I'm there. He's also my photographer sometimes. He's sucha trooper. I love my hubby.

Dress: Hot Topic
Shoes: Vintage

Aaaand I thought I would share another one of my favorite nautical dresses. I have been away for so long that I could share a ton of outfits, but I promise that this is the last one!

I scored this little number on sale at J.Crew. I would drool over it when it was $165, but I got it for $35! Such a steal!

Anchors Away!

Tights and boots and oversized cardigans! Oh my!

As the weather gets cooler, I see more of my favorite articles of clothing come out and play. I've always loved winter time because of the scarves, boots, coats, and tights. The more layers, the merrier! Right?!

Tights have been my latest obsession though. I want them all! Every color and every print! I just love how much they liven up an outfit. You could just wear a plain ol' dress, but if you slip on a pair of colored tights you have yourself a complete outfit!

Here are a few of my favorite tights:

The first tights pictured, I got from Joann's when they were having a Halloween sale. Who doesn't want to be a ladybug every once in a while? ;P The second tights pictured, I got from Target's irresistible clearance section. And The third tights are from Forever 21. I love all things polka-dotted so I had to have these! I'm sure my fellow polka dot addicts would concur.

Today I sported legs a la pink as well. I was having one of those lazy days (those happen to me wayyy to often) so I just slipped on the first dress I grabbed from my closet. I was feeling a bit blah until "ba-da-bing!" I slipped on these pink tights. They are sweater tights as well. So perfect for today, because it was freezing and raining! If you live in California, you know how indecisive our weather is. One day it could be really hot and the next day it will be freezing. I wonder if this cool weather is here to stay. I sure hope so. I enjoyed the warm weather for long enough.

Dress: Charlotte Russe
Tights: Target (years ago)
Boots: Dirty Laundry (The brand. Not my hamper. :P)

Before I wrap this up, I want to thank anyone who has taken the time to stop by my blog or has written a comment. You guys are the best! I will have to visit your lovely blogs! I know I always take these long blogging breaks, but I really enjoy blogging when I do get to it. I need to work on being a responsible blogger! That's definitely on my to-do list! Well I hope you are all having a colorful weekend! :)
