The Soundtrack of My Life

"We only got 86,400 seconds in a day to
Turn it all around or to throw it all away
We gotta tell them that we love them
While we got the chance to say
Gotta live like we're dying" -Kris Allen, Live Like We're Dying

I got an interesting fact and some good advice from this song. We don't notice how much time we waste complaining about life, school, the weather, people, the old lady driving slow in front of us, this list can go on forever. We waste away the seconds of our days. Sometimes we waste years! Why do we act as if we could turn back time? Instead of throwing that precious time away, we should invest it in "turning things around." Tell your family you love them! Enjoy the beautiful world God has made! Like our wise friend Kris Allen said, we gotta live like we're dying. Sometimes it's hard to be optimistic, but there's always something to smile about. ALWAYS!

At work this week, I found out that one of our clients passed away. It was sad news. His wife came in, and I could feel the pain she was going through just by looking at her. She told my dad to enjoy my mother right now that he had the time to. That thought has always impacted me. I tell my family that I love them as many times as I can (You can ask them... I sound like a broken record sometimes). I enjoy every second of their company. I thank God for them everyday! I am so blessed. I have a great God, good health, I'm surrounded by amazing people, I don't think I have room for much complaining.

So lets be content with what we have. Lets truly live those 86,400 seconds. I love you all! Thanks for reading.

How'd everyone's weekend go? Oh wait, it's wednesday.

Why is it that I can talk about the weekend all week? Is it because that's when the fun stuff happens? Probably. Anyway, this past weekend was pretty fun for me! It wasn't one of those "all work, no play" weekends like it's been for the past month.

I went to go watch Annie the musical at the Gallo Center. It was pretty amazing! I grew up to those songs. I especially remember the ghetto Jay-Z version of "It's a Hard Knock Life". That was my song! Anyway, those people have so much talent (even the dog). They are such an inspiration. Makes me wanna be a thespian. Which reminds me, I have to go watch Wicked soon. I would kick myself in the head if they left SF before I watched it. Oh here's a video so you can take a break from my yakkin'.

I also went to go watch Shutter Island. It was freakin' awesome! I love that Leonardo Dicaprio! He did really good on Blood Diamond, but he blew me away with this one. I won't spoil it all for anybody who happens to read this (if anyone does read it). I will just tell you: watch it!

Anyway, today is Wednesday. I have to go to my Biology class tonight. Oh joy! The best part is that I don't have to go to that class again until next Monday! Yay! Weekend time. American Idol comes out tonight too. I hadn't watched the whole season of any American Idol, but I think this season it will be different. Especially since Andrew Garcia is there, and I'm sure he'll stick around for a very, very, very long time. Well that's pretty much the plan for the rest of this rainy day. Hope you all have a blessed day!

M. I. A.

Honey, I'm home! (Gosh, I love that Lucille Ball.) With me I bring bad news and good news. Which one do you wanna wear first? Good or bad? Oh, is that "good" I hear? Great. I was gonna pick whichever I wanted to say first anyway. Well, the good news is that I'm back from my hiatus. There are signs of life! I have not forgotten you Mr. Blog and lovely friends. The bad news is... ummmm. There is no bad news. I guess that's good news too!

Since I have been gone for so long, I think I should update you folks with what I've been up to these days. I mean, come on, my last post is from November! Anyway, I guess I owe you guys a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Valentines day (aka Single Awareness Day), and so on and so forth. Oh where should the updating begin? Well I'll start with January since the December stuff is sooooo last year. 2010 has been quite an intense year so far. I've been working since the beginning of January. I've been caught in the world of tax preparing. I guess I can't do much complaining. I work with the people I love the most: my family! We have so much fun at work. It should be illegal! It's also only 3 months of work, which is really awesome. Our Phones endlessly ring and the fax machine resemble a printing press. I love tax season. Now, that 'tis the season to be jolly.

February has been pretty much the same. Just work, work, and more work. The only novelty is that I finally started school. I started February 16th, which is 2 days ago. I'm taking Business Finance and Biology. I'm taking a light load this semester because it's the tax season semester drill. So far I'm loving these classes! They both are very fun. I especially love a stock exchange game we're playing in my finance class. They've got me checking stock every 30 minutes. I enjoy it! Maybe I belong in Wall street.

Well It's getting pretty late now, and I probably should be going to bed. I have to get ready for work bright and early tomorrow. Speaking of tomorrow, I'm gonna watch Annie the musical tommorow. Tomorrow! Tomorrow! I love you tomorrow! It's only a day away! I'm pretty stoked. Well goodnight everyone!
